Now is the time!

It is now an offence to smoke in most public places so this is your opportunity to quit. Hypnosis is more successful than other methods because it gets to the part of the brain that deals with cravings. The most important thing for you is that you really want to give up as you cannot be made to do anything that you do not want to do. Imagine just for a moment what your life will be like as a non-smoker. Your health will improve and your home will smell fresher. It doesn't matter how long you have been smoking for, it is the commitment to quit that is important.
I make sure that positive suggestions about eating wisely are also included, as a lot of people fear replacing one habit with another. When you come to see me, your session will be tailored to suit you and you will be given coping strategies to use should you notice any cravings during the first couple of weeks.

What happens during a Session of Hypnosis?

When you come to see me you can be sure that I will do the very best to enable you to achieve your goals in life. You will settle down into a comfortable chair and I will just talk to you to start off the relaxing process. You will soon begin to feel so relaxed and will drift into this state we call Hypnosis without realising that anything is happening. You would not do anything that you would not do in your normal life. There are no issues of control and you are able to talk to me if that is required and still remain in that relaxed state. In fact every time you drive your car and find that you have driven about 20 miles without being aware of the time it has taken, you are in what I would call driving hypnosis, or when you daydream it is the same experience. During the session, the first part enables you to relax and I use a bio-feedback monitor to assess your relaxation levels. When I can see that you are relaxed enough then I proceed to feed back to you the goals that we have discussed before the session commences and get you to imagine going into your future as a non-smoker in the case of smoking and to see yourself just as you would like to be. The words that we say to ourself with our inner-talk are the way we are. Remember you are what you think!! If your inner chatter tells you that you can't do something then so it will be. Hypnotherapy enables you to be vigilant and retrain you brain to become more positive and to aim to become just how you would like to be.
